URETA was founded in 1948, in the middle of a flourishing industrial region with a strong vocation to meet the existing demand for precision gears, as well as other power transmission elements.
A strong investment approach on technological capabilities of the manufacturing means, a highly recognized preparation of our teams, as well as our service-oriented people allow us to significantly satisfy current needs as well as to support our Customers when facing their future challenges.

HISTORY
José Ormaechea and Pablo Guridi found URETA dedicated to the manufacture of gears.
Building up a new Micromechanics workshop.
URETA develops the capabilities to offer the full product manufacturing of gears.
URETA integrates the complete manufacturing service into all production processes.
José and Máximo Ormaechea, sons of founder José Ormaechea, take over the management of URETA.
Extension and improvement of production facilities, on-site integration of grinding workshops and building up a second control room.
Strategic expansion of the company with the opening of new international markets and development of the aeronautical sector.
Organizational changes, new governance and launch of the new 4-year strategic plan with a very ambitious investment plan.
